Woodcock achieves massive win haul on 2014 KX85 debut

Team Green rider, Dylan Woodcock, stormed to overall victory in the small wheel 85 class at Canada Heights in Kent on Sunday 5 August.

Receiving his new bike only 48 hours before first practice, Woodcock rode the much anticipated schoolboy machine in totally stock form to four race victories from five starts and was never off the podium all weekend.

Contesting the rest of the 2013 season on the machine which boasts a claimed 20% more power than the current model plus new suspension and bodywork styling, Woodcock will move up a class next year and race the big wheel version of the same machine.

The good news continued in the rookie class with Rob Davidson also taking a handful of wins. The KX250F rider matched Woodcock's win tally with a stunning four victories taking the overall Rookie supremacy in his stride.

Racing Coordinator for Kawasaki Motors UK, Ross Burridge, was understandably delighted with the success in Kent.

“We knew the new KX85 was going to be ultra-competitive and Dylan has really shown what the new bike is capable of today. He was under a lot of pressure to perform and it didn't faze him as he took multiple race wins.

2014 is going to be a big year for Dylan, and now he has this fantastic machine underneath him, I think there will be many more race wins to come. Add to the mix Rob taking the overall win and it has been a successful day for Kawasaki youth racing.”
